Spring is finally here! The longer hours of daylight and the glimpses of bright green new growth are a joy to behold after the five years that was this January. I offer up the following reading as a tool to help you navigate this season and use its energy to your advantage. There are a few intense astrological energies at play as well. The two biggest influences are a Mercury retrograde (March 15–April 7) and eclipse season (March 15–29). Both of these events carry with them a pre- and post-shadow phase, meaning we will feel this energy for a period before and after the actual dates. I intend for this to shift your narrative from being at the mercy of what is being thrown on your path to one of understanding and empowerment.

That's why I love using multiple decks. What they gave me was a unanimous overarching theme for this Spring season we are stepping into today.
The biggest energetic influence of this season is water. It is feminine, intuitive, emotional, and cleansing. Water, in its natural state, shows us it is possible to take another shape. Just because you've always done it a certain way does not mean you can't wake up one morning and decide you're going to do it differently. This goes for how you think, interact with others, and the world around you. This season is calling you to take a beat and sink into your intuition and inner knowing. If your inner voice is guiding you to go a different way or your feelings want yoiu to give a different answer, trust it. The best way to navigate water is to flow with it. I remember a valuable lesson about the ocean. If you find yourself further out than you want, do not swim straight for the shore. Instead, swim parallel to the shore and let the waves carry you in. They will, but it'll just be way further down on the beach than where you started, and that's okay. Surrender and let the waves of Spring carry you where you are meant to be.
Water has an amazing cleansing quality that when we tap into it, we can wash away what is no longer in alignment with who we are now. Bonus points if you quiet your mind and take in the messages that they are offering without fear. You are being asked to take a deeper dive into what lies beneath your surface. You are both light and dark. Both are natural and necessary. In this existence, the more you accept and show love to all parts of yourself, the more balanced and strong you become. You will understand yourself and how you move in this world on a much deeper level when you notice who you are when you are in a reduced state. What I mean by that, is who we are in moments of stress, emergency situations, or confrontation. Anything that brings up intense feelings of fear, sadness, or anger will shine a light in places we don't want to look. Do you like who you are when you get stressed or angry? Do you get reactive or reflective?
I will end this reading with a quote from one of the last two cards I pulled from The Wild Goddess Oracle. Make your life a work of art, and your art a work of life. In this statement think of art as how you choose to spend your time and who you choose to spend it with. Understand that the energy you surround yourself with is a direct reflection of your self image. This is a time to explore your idea of self through the mirror of another. To reflect on this energy, without criticism. Let them be teachers on your journey to knowing your full worth. Move through these waters with an open heart and a curious nature. Let yourself dive into something you've always wanted to do for yourself and be amazed by the adventure change will take you on!
